I love how far YouTube will go to show you more of the type of stuff you deliberately tell it you hate. Especially in Shorts given their paucity of content; I've given a thumbs down to this one attack dog trainer guy every time and it only shows me more and more of his garbage on the front page.

About time I gave tooot for iOS another try. It's open-source! And truncates long posts in the feed. And has a drafts feature that iirc hopefully catches posts lost to errors.

Mammoth for iOS has some things going for it, but the lack of a drafts feature is an absolute deal-breaker; if there's anything wrong at all, anywhere, when you hit "post" your post is just ... gone.

@Gargron Like, 60mm for example is wider on a medium format, so you think it'd be easier to shoot slow, but IIRC the 67 had a focal plane shutter and big slappy mirror that will get the body moving pre-exposure and shake up your photos much more than a 35mm SLR. The Mamiya 7-II used leaf shutters and a rangefinder to eliminate this effect. You may need at least 1/125 to steady a wide angle on the 67

@Gargron The body design isn't a trick, you can shoot a 67 handheld -- I've handheld an RZ before and the Mamiya 7-II is made for street photography -- it's just not the same head math as small format because you can't use a shutter speed that matches your lens length any more. Like, you can't get away with 1/60s at 60mm. And the additional resolution is worth using as sharply as possible. Did those have FP or leaf shutters? May want to test accuracy after so many decades

I keep seeing assertions that the fediverse is much "more bigoted" in total than corporate platforms, and that's quite believable -- it has no central censorship schemes of any kind and its fringes will attract the misery ejected from those platforms. I just wish the figures constantly extolling what a miserable place this is would actually *describe* how it persists and evades current moderation tools and styles so we could do something about it … something better than unaccountable blocklists.
